News Update, Ranthambore:  The population of tigers in Ranthambore National Park is increasing every year and the jungle area which is dedicated to them are becoming smaller. The Ranthambore jungle has the capacity of 40 tigers but 71 tigers are living there. Human intervention in the park has also increased therefore tigers have not been as human friendly as before. On the one hand there is good news for wildlife lovers; on the other hand there has been a decrease in tiger habitat which is resulting tiger clash for getting their own territory.  In the history of the last one and a half decade, the tiger has attacked humans in Ranthambore maximum times.  So far this year, five people have become tiger victims.  (Hindi Jagran Report)

Forest Department officials and wildlife experts believe that the young tiger is under stress due to not being able to make its own tertiary. Due to this, many tigers are in a collision situation on the border of the forest. In November itself, there was a fierce struggle between two tigers T-57 and T-58, in which T-58 was badly injured. The situation is that 71 tigers are currently living in a forest having capacity of 40 tigers.

The total area of Ranthambore is 1734 square kilometers. There are 1392 sq km buffer zone and 392 km core area. A total of 71 tigers are currently living in Ranthambore. In addition to these 25 males and 25 females, there are 21 cubs, while under the rules of the National Tiger Conservation Authority; there can be no more than 40 tigers. If we look at the record of the last one and half decade, the maximum number of tiger clash and attacks has occurred in the current year.
