The panic situation arose in the village named Hanumatpura Ki Basti when a leopard entered a house. The leopard that strayed from the Ranthambore National Park got inside a home in the nearby village on Sunday.
The team of Ranthambore forest officials and the team of Bholi police administration in the district of Sawai Madhopur reached on the spot as soon as they got the information. The team started the rescue operation to catch the leopard and take it to the park.
After two hours of nerve-wracking struggle, the forest officials got successful in tranquilizing the leopard so that they can take the leopard and leave it inside the Ranthambore forest. As per a forest guard at the Ranthambore National Park, tranquilizing the leopard was very difficult due to the dense bushes and shrubs around the house.
The forest officials had to break a window to get inside the house safely and then they shot the tranquilizer dart. The forest guard also said that the leopard entered the village, maybe because he was hungry or thirsty.
Due to the shrinking of forest region and the rapid increment of human settlements on the periphery of the National Parks, the wild animals used to stray from the forest and enter the villages in search of easy prey as to hunt the stray dogs or domestic animals is easy.
