Sawai Madhopur Railway Station is the nearest station, about 11 km from the national park. Local taxis and shared transport connect the station to Ranthambore. Direct trains run from Jaipur, Delhi, Surat and other major cities. The station is a heritage railway station awarded as among India's best tourist-friendly stations. Luxury trains including Palace on Wheels, Royal Rajasthan on Wheels, Maharaja Express and The Indian Maharaja stop here. Jaipur Junction (~176 km) is the next best alternative with excellent Delhi connectivity.
