Ranthambore Online Safari Booking Permit

The safari permit is official authorization for entry on a specific date, time, vehicle (Gypsy or Canter) and zone. It covers entrance fees and requires valid photo ID. Advance planning is essential during weekends and holidays.

Important Permit Rules

  • Safari permits are fully governed by the Rajasthan Forest Department under the state forest ministry.
  • Jeep and canter safaris operate in two shifts — morning and afternoon.
  • Advance online booking is available; same-day counter booking is subject to availability.
  • Safaris run from 1 October to 30 June; the park is closed July–September (core zones).
  • Advance booking opens up to 90 days before your chosen date from 12:00 PM onwards.
  • Provide full name (as on ID) and photo ID number for each visitor at booking time.
  • Carry the same ID proof to the park gate — mismatched details may lead to cancellation.
  • Indian nationals: Passport, Driving Licence, PAN, Voter ID, Aadhaar or Government ID. Foreign nationals: Passport only.
  • Full fee (entrance + vehicle + guide) must be paid in advance. Permits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Only forest-registered jeeps and canters may enter — no private vehicles in safari zones.
  • Vehicle, guide and tourism zone are assigned randomly by the forest department.
  • Mobile phones are strictly banned during safari as per Supreme Court orders.
