In 2006, Sundari T17 was first noticed as the pride of Ranthambore national park as she looked simply alike Machali - her mother and a popular majestic tigress of this territory. In all three cubs of Machali who took birth in 2006 monsoons, Sundari was the most dominant litter since her young age. Heroically, in the end of 2007, Sundari began to explore her independent territory; however rest of two sisters of her lived with Machali - her mother.
In the beginning of 2008, Sundari founded her perfect territory which was the bottom of the fort. Just as human beings, Sundari had been visiting her family occasionally as she was perfectly able to hunt for herself. In 2008 summers, Sundari turned to be a fully independent tigress; however rest of two sisters took few more months to set apart from Machali.
Just like Machali, Sundari was also fond of exploring her territory. In this effort, he managed to expand her region to a higher level. It is quite surprising, but true as she also battled with Machali to grab her region and with her intense fighting, she ultimately managed to reign over that territory near lakes. After that, Machali had to leave that area and she made Lakkarda, her base where she lives currently.
The Ranthambore National Park is among the largest parks in the North India, located in the historic place of Sawai Madhopur in the Rajasthan, a northern state of India. Enriched with the numerous wild flora and fauna along with many endangered wildlife species, the Ranthambore offers you the amazing wildlife viewing experience with the Jungle safari organized to explore the insides of the forest. Also, the gigantic Ranthambore Fort that situated inside the park adds the heritage value into the forest.
One by one, Sundari won almost every territory of her mother - Machali besides Lakkard and few areas of Mandoop where her sister T 19 - Unnis was reigning. Other sister of Sundari, Anthara T18 had set her territory in PhootKot area.
From that time, Sundari has maintained her rule over the territory around lakes. The best thing about T17 is that; she has no fear of vehicles that come over the Ranthambore reserve and does not afraid of tourists moving around the park.
Oftentimes, Sundari is seen mating with different male tigers; however she had yet not born any litter from them. Her territory was shared by 3 male tigers. In summer 2011, Sundari grew her territory to Kachida Valley when a dominant tigress T5 got died. Kachida Valley is a big territory in Ranthambore tiger reserve. This territory is rivalled by only Unnis - her sister.
After so many speculations, Sundari gave birth to 3 cubs in 2012. It is expected that the father of her cubs is T-25 - Dollar.
